BAILI
CO OWNER & AESTHETICIAN
Baili began her professional journey in 2013 as an esthetician at The Sanctuary Spa. It was there that she learned the art of providing relaxation and the best aesthetic results for her clients.
Crafting Beauty Through Collaboration
In 2022, Baili and the other co-founders of Ritual, joined forces to combine their individual talents to create the Ritual Med Boutique team.
Together, they strive to provide the highest quality, natural looking results, in a relaxing and luxurious environment. Baili’s true passion is personalizing services to address each individual client’s skin care needs. Her goal is for everyone that visits Ritual to leave looking and feeling their best.
KORTNEY
CO-OWNER & MEDICAL DIRECTOR/ARNP
Kortney first started in the sciences with neuroscience, biology, and chemistry degrees. She then gravitated towards medicine and graduated with her masters as a nurse practitioner while working in the emergency department. From there she started in aesthetics in facial plastic surgery where her love of minimally invasive aesthetic medicine started. She has received extensive training in lasers, injectables, PDO threads and anti aging. Kortney is passionate about delving into the science behind skin care, mind-body wellness, and the aging process.

It has been a dream creating Ritual as a space clients are comfortable during their treatment and welcome to be themselves.
Kortney loves guiding clients through the aesthetics world to develop their personalized treatment ritual. Her goal is providing natural looking results with a spa experience.
DR. RYAN SUNDERMANN
CO OWNER & MD
Dr. Ryan Sundermann, M.D. is a Cedar Rapids native. After attending high school in Cedar Rapids, he served his country for 5 years in the US Army. He attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate and medical degrees. During his time in medical training, he focused his research on stem cells and wound healing. Dr. Sundermann then completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
Returning to Cedar Rapids in 2006, Dr. Sundermann started his career at St. Luke’s Hospital. In 2008, he was elected Medical Director of the Emergency Department, and remains in that position today. Due to his research in stem cell wound healing in college, he has always had an interest in regenerative medicine. His other passion is fitness and health. Dr. Sundermann spends a large amount of time engaged in outdoor fitness activities and adventure working clinically.
Becoming a partner in Ritual Medical Boutique has created an opportunity to take his passion for longevity to the next level by bringing cutting edge services and products in beauty and longevity to his own community. Dr. Sundermann is passionate about helping others to stay youthful, inside and out, so that we can enjoy life to the fullest.
STEVE S
CO OWNER & BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Steve and former wife Cindi founded The Sanctuary Spa in 2009. Over time, it was our team’s dream to develop a medical spa to be able to provide more advanced skin and health care services producing the highest quality and natural looking results. This dream became reality when Ritual Med Boutique was officially organized in 2021. After months of planning and developing a team of experienced medical, aesthetic, and permanent make-up professionals, Ritual officially opened its doors to serve patients May 4, 2022.
Steve has spent his entire career in financial services, primarily as a certified public accountant and more recently a financial advisor. When not working, he enjoys time at home with his wife Dawn, golfing, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying life to the fullest.
Steve is excited to be part of the Ritual team. We have put together a great team who truly cares and supports each other. Each shares a single vision of treating every patient as the most important patient of their day, listening intently to their needs, and developing personal and trusted relationships.

COURTNEY
AESTHETICIAN, NURSE INJECTOR
& PERMANENT MAKEUP
Courtney started her journey in aesthetics in 2018 at Capri College where she quickly learned she wanted to advance her education to perform more invasive procedures. She went to nursing school while continuing to work as an aesthetician specializing in microblading and lash extensions. Courtney graduated from Purdue University Global in 2021 and began training in injectables shortly after. Courtney’s favorite services to perform include chemical peels, microneedling, and lip filler.
Glowing Passion
Aside from her passion for the skincare industry and helping others feel more confident in their own skin, Courtney is also extremely passionate about animals and learning.
She loves iced coffee, plants, true crime, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
KYLIE
AESTHETIC NURSE INJECTOR
Kylie is ecstatic to bring her 10 years of versatile patient care experience to Ritual Med Boutique. Over the past two years, while specializing in aesthetic nursing, her passion for all things beauty and skincare has driven her to boost her patient’s confidence by enhancing their already natural beauty. A few of Kylie’s favorite treatments are chemical peels, Halo laser, Botox, and dermal fillers – specifically lips and cheeks. Her at-home can’t live without skin care ingredients are retinol + SPF.
Radiant Life
When Kylie isn’t empowering those around her at Ritual, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping at T.J. Maxx, cooking/baking, going to concerts, Sunday brunch, and traveling.
She loves home decor, iced coffee, a good glass of Chardonnay, Christmas time, the Chicago Cubs, and all things beauty + skincare. Kylie can’t wait to see each and every one of you + help you turn all of your skincare dreams into reality.
MYKA
PERMANENT MAKEUP AND AESTHETICIAN
Myka has had a lifelong love of all things beauty. Her journey into the cosmetics industry began while being a makeup artist for three years at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Myka decided to pursue her dreams and go back to school to learn about esthetics at Capri College. She started her professional career at our sister spa, The Sanctuary, in 2019. She has since become a licensed esthetician, nail technician, as well as becoming a permanent makeup artist.
Brow Maestro
Myka specializes in microblading and shading; she is able to enhance each client’s eyebrows according to their face shape, bone structure, and hair color, all while making the eyebrows look natural, giving you the brows you’ve been looking for.
Outside of the spa, Myka enjoys visiting her family back in her hometown (Quad cities), shopping, traveling with her husband, and time at home with her three dogs.
DAWN S
LICENSED DENTAL HYGENIST
AND AESTHETICIAN
Dawn has had a passion for everything beauty and fashion since her teen modeling days. Her compassion for people and her love of science drew her to a 25-year career in dentistry as a dental hygienist. She found great joy in improving her patient’s smiles and in turn their confidence.
Dawn has been with The Sanctuary Spa in guest services and management since 2015.
Dawn’s love of the spa has prompted her to change her career path to be further involved in the family business. She has continued her journey in beauty and healthcare by obtaining a license in esthetics.
You will find her smiling face at both Ritual Med Boutique and The Sanctuary Spa utilizing her talents and experience in a variety of ways.
Advanced facials, microneedling, dermaplaning and laser hair removal are a few services she offers. Providing patient comfort and relaxation with a beautiful result is her priority.
In her free time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, baking and enjoying a glass of wine with her husband Steve.
